30 Amazing Things To Do Instead Of Watching Netflix
Are you a binge watcher on Netflix? You could use that time to better and become more productive everyday. Here are 30 things to do instead of watching Netflix.
I used to be a binge Netflix watcher some years ago and I loved that. But soon I realized I am neglecting so many things in my daily life which directly and indirectly impacting my health and my productivity.
It was like an addiction to me. I used to sleep late at night because I had to complete my whole season and eat whatever was easily available (mostly junk food).
This habit had disturbed my daily life, my digestion system, my productivity, and made me dull and lethargic.
I tried hard to get rid of this addiction but failed every time. One day one of my friends gifted me the book “The monk who sold his Ferrari“.
At first, I was not ready to read it but I started reading it as my friend forced me to read.
I Just loved the book and after reading I realized that I have wasted so much of my time watching TV and scrolling my social media.
But the time you have only in your hands is NOW and there is no use to regret about the past.
So I decided not to watch Netflix anymore. I just uninstalled it and made a list of things I want to do to be more productive in my life.

1. Spend some time in nature
Take some time out for yourself to relax and do something that nurtures your soul.
2. Do meditation
To do so you don’t need to sit cross-legged for hours with closed eyes. Just start with 5 minutes of sitting in silence and feel your breath movement.
3. Practice mindfulness
It can be practiced anywhere with some little mindful changes in your daily life.
4. Practice yoga
There are different types of yoga, you can choose whatever suits you and learn online on youtube.
5. Take a walk
Getting daily sunlight is good for your vitamin D level. Take a walk whenever you like and whenever you get time. It is one of my favorite activities to do.
6. Play with your pet
Playing with pets not only improves your bonding with them but also lower down anxiety levels.
7. Watch the sunset or sunrise
There’s nothing better than the brilliant colors of a beautiful sunset or sunrise.
8. Start a DIY project
If you love scrolling down on Pinterest for DIY ideas like me, then it is time to start your own project and decorate your favorite corner with your creativity.
9. It’s time to declutter
Declutter your cupboard, closet or your drawer which is pending for long to be tidy out. I don’t know about you, but I find this very very therapeutic. It works for me as a mental declutter.
10. Plan your meals for the week
If you are struggling with the meal plan, and groceries to shop. Then take a pen and paper or you can buy a meal planner online and plan your weekly meals and shop the ingredients in advance for better time management.
11. Start a kitchen garden
I always dreamed to have a beautiful kitchen garden and to grow fresh vegetables. But I procrastinated every time because less of the place outdoor.
But now I have a small herb and flower garden indoor. And I love to spend my time with my plants.
12. Spend Time With Others
When was the last time you spent time with those you love?
So from today start spending your time with those who are important for you, who cares about you instead of watching TV.
13. Cook a candlelit dinner for your partner
I am sure he/she will love you for it!
14. Meet friends for a coffee
Have a cup of coffee with your friends, will immediately boost your mood. If you need a quick fix to your overthinking behavior, call your friends and have a good cappuccino.
15. Play games
Playing games indoor or outdoor is not an old school thing. You can do anytime to feel to play your favorite game.
16. Volunteer for a cause

There are lots of short term internship projects available online to enhance your professional skills.

Install olx (an online app to sell used products), create your profile, and sell out the things which you are not using for long to make yourself a bit of extra cash.

Assignments included free meals at restaurants, reviewing the service at mobile phone shops, and cash off my supermarket shopping.

Udemy and Coursera are the online platforms where you can get thousands of online courses of almost all categories from marketing to language, cooking, fitness, astrology, and more. There are courses on every topic you can imagine on the internet nowadays.

If you are not an online person, then you can join a local class to learn new things like sewing, a new language, learn Tarot or Reiki healing, etc.
24. Watch Youtube tutorials
Youtube now has become a search engine for visual results. If you love to watch different tutorials, now it’s time to do experiments and show whatever you have learned with those experiments.
25. Explore Your Local Area
Walkthrough a part of town you’ve not been to before. Shop your daily groceries from the local vendors.

Even if you don’t have enough money to go on your next holiday, still it would fun to do the research about your favorite dream destination.
